MANCHESTER, N.H. - Republican presidential candidate Bill Weld is continuing to pitch himself as an alternative to President Donald Trump.

In an interview Sunday on WMUR’s “CloseUP,” the former Massachusetts governor said he’s the most fiscally conservative candidate in the race.

“I make no bones about being an economic conservative,” he said. “That used to be a calling card of the Republican Party. One of the first issues that’s always on my list is the trillion-dollar deficits.

Weld met Sunday with voters in Manchester and Exeter.
